About Us

The basic structure of the Home Made Restaurant on route 119 North in Home, Pa has been in existence for almost 50 years. It originated as a private residence, then was made into a small luncheonette style restaurant, then evolved with soft-served ice cream.

Damian and Cindi Kordell bought the restaurant in April of 1997 and have since expanded and created a full-service restaurant  serving breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week.

In the year 2000, they added Home-Town Mini-Golf and Soft Serve, which is an 18 hole miniature golf course and full line of ice cream desserts. Home style cooking at reasonable prices in a friendly, unpretentious atmosphere is their trademark. Damian makes all the soups from “scratch”, and creates the daily specials. Cindi bakes all the pies in house using all fresh ingredients.

No one could ask for better people to work for and with. I have enjoyed working here very much. The customers are wonderful and treat us all like family! I love this place! Heather Laney

“Our greatest pleasure has been getting to know our many customers and employees .They have become our extended family.  We  look forward to the “rushes”, where we know we will see so many wonderful people that we have gotten to know and care about over the past 5 years. They care about us and our business, and we care about them, too! I like to think of us as a sort of “Cheers of Indiana County!”  Cindi Kordell
